The last of APB: All Points Bulletin’s servers closed on Thursday, following the collapse of developers, Realtime Worlds. Understandably, everyone who had paid for the game felt rather short-changed, as there is no single player campaign to speak of and the multiplayer servers had been up for less than three months.
Distributors Electronic Arts(EA) have decided to cut those disgruntled players a break and offer a free Steam download of any current EA game – including Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins and Battlefield: Bad Company.
At the moment it is not clear if only Steam purchases are getting refunds – pre orders are out of luck – but EA can be contacted via its support site for more details.
