Today we got a look at some of the silliest, weirdest toys and gadgets that’ll be filling your stockings this Christmas, and by far the best thing we saw, that stood heads above silly putty and remote control helicopters, was the range of Lego storage boxes which took the form of giant Lego heads, and mini wall lights, plus, lunchbox type Lego storage boxes for the kids (or yourself, obviously).

The big Lego heads are hollow inside, and while they may not be the most useful shape for storing grown-up things like CDs, clothes, or books, we think they’re perfect, and probably completely essential, for socks. Smaller Lego heads could store teabags (also very important), ping pong balls, or Lego bricks, of course.

Brick shaped Lego boxes are available in a variety of different shapes and sizes. The boxes we saw were intended as lunchboxes, and would be perfect for fitting your sarnies in of a weekday. Or the kids’ sarnies. Better buy three, for you and the kids, as they all stack together too.

Lego also has another essential home furnishings item for this season on show – the Lego Brick Light. This is an 8x8cm battery operated Lego brick shaped light, that runs on four LEDs hidden inside, meaning it’s got no ugly wires.
