LG Optimus One Froyo phone: official photos and video

Gentlemen and gentle ladies, here are your LG Optimus One Android Froyo phone pictures, complete with specs and some tasty video too.

If you were hoping for an all singing, all dancing rival from LG to the Samsung Galaxy S, we’re sorry to say the LG Optimus One Froyo Android phone is not it. Its paltry 600MHz CPU doesn’t sound like it’s going to be up to handling Flash video (LG hasn’t confirmed either way yet), while the three megapixel camera and 3.2-inch 320×480 touchscreen won’t stand up against a huge Super AMOLED panel.

But LG’s aim with the LG Optimus One is more akin to Samsung’s with bada: bring smartphone features downmarket and make them affordable. We’d expect this to come in pretty cheap when it hits, and there’s something to be said for bringing Android 2.2 Froyo features like mobile WiFi hotspot support and Google voice action to the masses.

The LG Optimus One is out in October, but take a look at it in our photo gallery and official video right here – there’s a HD option in the bottom right!
