Remember the LG Optimus One and LG Optimus Chic? Yeah, LG announced them a few months ago, and oddly, they’re the centrepiece of today’s Optimus press conference too. We’ve snagged a few more details on the pair though so read on for the details.
First up, we’ve got the LG Optimus One: it’s actually one of the lowest spec Froyo phones we’ve seen yet, with a 3MP camera and 3.2-inch HVGA screen. It comes with an LG dedicated skin (We’ll see how that works out), and interestingly, an LG APp Advisor app, which recommends from the cluttered MArket for you.
There’s no mention of Flash support for the LG Optimus One yet, but Froyo’s WiFi hotspot support is active, and the phone’s 1500mAh battery should give it a healthy runtime away from the mains.
Next up is the LG Optimus Chic, which comes with some extra features, like DLNA network streaming (as seen on the Samsung Galaxy S and Acer Stream), touch sensitive buttons, and ominously, “LG Air Sync”, which backs up all your details to the cloud, as though Android doesn’t do that already.
The LG Optimus One is out in Europe in October, with the LG Optimus Chic to follow in November. LG Mobile chief Scott Ahn just predicted the pair would sell more than 10million units, but we’re not wagering anything until we get a closer look. Stay tuned.
Out From October | £TBC | LG
