That new Xbox 360 controller that was rumoured yesterday? It’s rumoured no longer. Microsoft’s Major Nelson has outed the new Xbox 360 controller on video, revealing the delightful new D-pad to the world. Hop through to see it in action and find out when it’ll be landing in your hands…
After outing the Xbox Live price hike, Major Nelson has returned with some nicer news. The new Xbox 360 controller is real and features a new twistable D-pad. That quick turn brings the pad up a notch allegedly making it simpler to use.
Besides the tweaked D-pad, the new Xbox 360 controller has altered analog sticks and the ABXY buttons have been redone in translucent monochrome, ditching the bright colours of old. The entire controller has a new matte silver paint-job too.
Microsoft is offering the new Xbox 360 controller in a bundle with the Play and Charge kit. It’s hitting the US on November 9 in time for Christmas but won’t land in the UK until February. It looks like a nice upgrade but we’ll let you know for sure when we get our hands on one.
