Lunchtime! Stop what you’re doing and get stuck into everything gadget related you missed this morning. It’s all waiting for you in the lunchtime lowdown so come get it before it gets cold.
First up, Motorola got busy and outed two new Android phone. The Milestone 2 might not come as too much of a surprise, with the similar Droid 2 already on sale in the US, but it’s still welcome, and we’ve got hands on photos of the QWERTY slider ready and waiting. Much more of a surprise is the Motorola Defy, a quirky but powerful rugged Android phone.
Elsewhere, Apple’s preparing for its big press event this evening, and this time it’s doing things a little differently: it’s livestreaming the whole event. Could this be to test out its iTunes streaming tech?
Speaking of media streaming, Sony‘s rumoured to be launching its own rival service tonight at IFA in Germany. Don’t fret though: we’ll be reporting live from both, so you’ll know what’s what as soon as we do.
