Hurrah! Call of Duty: Black Ops will be getting a full complement of mod tools when it arrives on the PC. Fantastic news for players itching to create their own multiplayer maps for Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty outing. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth when Modern Warfare 2 went without mod tools so it’s likely to be a popular move.

BioShock Infinite will put the ‘mystery’ back into the game franchise, according to lead designer Ken Levine. Responding to questions at Gamescom about why Irrational Games had shifted the game into the skies rather than the undersea world of Rapture, Levine said that he thought the mystery element of the series had proven difficult to maintain in the second game, as players already knew what Rapture was.

The HTC Desire Froyo update rolls out over the air to Vodafone users from this Monday, 23 August, so you’ll soon be able to join your unlocked brothers and sisters indulging in mobile Flash video chomping and impromptu Wi-Fi hotspot creation. You can check out our full HTC Desire Froyo review here, and yes, Vodafone promises this is the Froyo update this time, not bloatware like we saw earlier this month.
