Nintendo DS Oyster card, anyone?

It’s easy to spot a Nintendo DS addict on almost any carriage on the London Underground. What else are you going to do with no phone reception? Read? Ninty clearly isn’t satisfied with the numbers it’s sold so far though, and has kicked off a new marketing campaign, handing out official Nintendo DS Oyster travelcard wallets outside tube stations. We snatched one up a bit too eagerly for an impromptu photo session, and you can see it here in our gallery. All good and well Nintendo, but why isn’t it in 3D?

UPDATE: Oh dear. The Nokia 5250 has a resistive touchscreen, Nokia has confirmed to us. Better get used to a stylus again, folks.

We saw the Nokia 5250 pop up in some curious placeholder advertising on Nokia’s website a few weeks ago, but now the phone is official. It’s rocking the same looks as the pricey X6, but comes in much cheaper. Cheap enough to put up with Symbian S60 still? Read on and judge for yourself with the specs and details.

There she blows! The Archos 32 Android PMP has popped up on Amazon‘s US site, just as soon as the French gadget company announces its plans to bring a bunch of new Android tablets to IFA. The Archos 32 is most definitely an iPod touch rather than iPad rival at 3.2-inches: its 400×240 resolution doesn’t sound like it’s going to cope well against a new iPod touch with a Retina Display, and there’s no sign of Google’s core Android apps in the imagery, but at least you’ll get FLAC audio support, and AVI, MP4, 3GP, WMV and even MKV video support. There’s no release date for the Archos 32 just yet, but look for it to cost around $149 (£94) if it ships to the UK. Needless to say, we’ve contacted the company for more details, but Archos declined to comment.
