Spy shots of the Nokia N9 have turned up on uber-tipster Eldar Murtazin’s livejournal page. The new Nokia looks to be sporting a keyboard behind a very N8-like case.
We aren’t sure quite where Eldar Murtazin gets these pics from, but the Russian blogger behind Mobile Review has done it again. Pictures of the Nokia N9 have been leaked via his Livejournal. The new device looks a bit like a Nokia N8 at first glance, but the QWERTY keyboard that slides out from underneath looks more like a souped-up version of the N97′s keys.
The casing of the phone is all brushed metals. It is hard to tell if this means it is a unibody aluminium case or just painted plastic. Actually, we suppose it couldn’t be a unibody with a big moving part like the keyboard – duobody, then. Whatever. You know what we mean.
Then there is the OS. That doesn’t look like any version of Symbian we have yet come across, but it doesn’t really look like what we have seen of Meego, either. Is it something new or just a very minimal lock screen? As is so often the case, these pics raise more questions than they answer – the main one being, ‘when can we get our hands on one of these things?’
