Xbox Live integration is the biggest weapon in the Windows Phone 7 armoury and Microsoft has pulled the covers off the first batch of games. The opening salvo features some seriously big names, including Halo, a pair of Star Wars titles, Assassin’s Creed and Guitar Hero plus some familiar iPhone games making the jump…
Microsoft is seriously talking up the Windows Phone 7 Xbox Live hub focusing on try-before-you-buy demos, Xbox Live Achievements and leader-boards. As we reported a few months back, Xbox Live Windows Phone 7 multiplayer will be turn-based rather than realtime which is still a bit of a bummer.
The 63 Xbox Live Windows Phone 7 titles include plenty of ultra-addictive casual games like Bejeweled but there’s also plenty of games to please more hardcore gamers. Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell: Conviction (both of which have previously popped up in iPhone and iPad incarnations) get a showing as well as Halo: Waypoint.
There’s some classics in the Xbox Live Windows Phone 7 games list too with Frogger and Castlevania making an appearance. Folk excited by the Star Wars Xbox Live avatars last week will no doubt welcome Star Wars: Battle of Hoth and Star Wars: Cantina while fans of Plants vs Zombies can satiate their undead fascination with the exclamation-mark-happy Zombie Attack! and Zombies!!!
Take a look at the full list of Xbox Live Windows Phone 7 launch titles below and let us know which ones take your fancy. Does the prospect of Xbox Live integration make you more likely to go for Windows Phone 7?
