Facebook will have no more birthday wall takeovers, but it might have more games. Zuckerberg’s social networking behemoth is adding a feature to group birthday well-wishers and and simultaneously hiring a head of games.

The success of Farmville has pushed gaming through Facebook, and in reaction to this Facebook is hiring a head of games.  The search for someone to head up the gaming section of Facebook comes after Facebook bought out casual gaming company Slide, for $182m.

The vacancy posting, for interested developers, reads: “This job requires high levels of creativity and strategic thinking, as you’ll be called upon to help both large, incumbent gaming companies as well as venture-backed gaming start-ups develop innovative social gaming experiences building on Facebook Platform.”

Facebook is also rolling out a clean up feature for your birthday Facebook wall. The new feature will group all birthday messages into a collapsible link. Presumably this will only group posts which includes the phrase “happy birthday”, while those leaving more abstruse birthday messages will probably be excluded. Whether this will matter very much depends on your group of friends. The feature hasn’t been rolled out to profile walls yet, but has been spotted in news feeds.

All of which leaves us with more Farmville, and better birthday navigation. Pleased? We’re not sure…
