We’d heard rumours about a HTC Desire HD, but until now, it’s just been a bunch of headturning specs. Now there’s a spyshot to put them to, and lo, if it isn’t an Android version of the HTC HD2 we’ve been holding out so long for.

If you’ll recall, we heard last month that a HTC Desire HD was on the way, with a mammoth 4.3-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz Snapdragon chip and an eight megapixel camera, and now one Hong Kong forum tipster claims to have a picture of said device.
While we can’t confirm for certain that this is the HTC Desire HD, or if it will indeed run Android 2.2, the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, it’s worth noting that HTC often suffers leaks of its phone this way. This HTC Desire HD isn’t just a snap of the similarly specced HTC Evo 4G available in the US either – look closely and you’ll see it’s missing the front facing camera.
