Not hopped onto the App Store from your iPad recently? Head there now and you’ll find a new feature ready to greet you – Genius for iPad apps. Sure Genius has been doing its egg-headed app recommendation schtick on the iPhone for ages but it just looks a lot better with the iPad screen’s extra space…

iPad Genius recommendations reside in a new Genius tab beside Featured, Top Charts, Categories and Updates. To get iPad Genius suggestions, you just need to log-in with your iTunes account details and accept the usual terms and conditions bumf.

The iPad Genius tab then does the familiar trick of scanning your library of apps and offering up new ones you might like. Got the Wired iPad app? Try Blogshelf. Fascinated by Flipboard? Grab Nu HD. If you disagree with a recommendation, there’s a big Not Interested button to show the know-it-all iPad Genius what’s boss.

It’s good to see Apple making iTunes easier to navigate even if the Try Before You Buy section for apps it revealed last week was a little misleading.

Let us know what you make of iPad Genius recommendations. Do they point you towards apps you might of missed? Or are the apps it uncovers as odd as some of the tunes offered up by Genius in iTunes?
