The HTC Schubert was one of the HTC Windows Phone 7 codenames that popped up a while back. Now a phone claimed to be the HTC Schubert has shown up on video. Like that mystery HTC Desire-style Windows Phone 7 handset we saw a couple of weeks ago, the HTC Schubert takes its looks from a past classic, the HTC Legend…
The HTC Schubert video first appeared on Italian Windows Phone 7 site, 247WindowsPhone. It claims the handset will be among the first batch of Windows Phone 7 handsets from HTC. Like the HTC Legend, the HTC Schubert is hewn from aluminium but no other tech specs have been spilled yet.
We know the HTC Schubert will need to come packing at least a 5MP camera, GPS and an FM radio to comply with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 hardware requirements. But details on what processor it’ll come packing or how much memory we can expect are difficult to predict. It probably won’t be a swift as the HTC Glacier that appeared last week but we can dream.
You can see in the video above that the HTC Schubert has a LED flash nestled next to its camera and revel in the aluminum shine of its aluminum shell. There are plastic sections in the back to let the wireless signals out. Just like we drooled over the looks of the HTC Legend, we’re really hoping the HTC Schubert is the real deal.
After months of talk about the HTC Mondrian, HTC Mozart and HTC Schubert and with the UK Windows Phone 7 release date due in October, we should surely see some official details soon.
Let us know: what do you think of the HTC Schubert video? Do its aluminum looks appeal to you?
