Quick lunchtime news on an unlock through your jailbreak. If you used the Jailbreakme iPhone 4 jailbreak, then you can now unlock your device from its carrier, using Dev-Team’s Cydia app.

The jailbreak app for unlocking, Ultrasn0w, has been updated by its creators Dev-Team to support iOS4. It’ll work for any jailbroken iPhone 4, and the 3G or 3GS. When you’re installing, make sure you’re in version 1.0-1 or higher. If you’re taken through to the ultrasn0w page with a version lower than this, make sure you’re at repo666.ultrasn0w.com, or reboot your iPhone.

If you still haven’t got the jailbreak, but want to unlock, you’ll have to jailbreak first. Head to jailbreakme.com, which will access a jailbreak in one simple slide, providing you’re on 3.1.2 or higher, but less than any of the iOS 4.1 developer betas.
