RIM played its cards in the high end smartphone space yesterday evening, finally serving up the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 slider, the touchscreen phone with a portrait keyboard we’ve been hoping for. We went hands-on naturally, and heard that it’s headed to at least Vodafone in the UK, but it’s not going to be the only way to try out the new BlackBerry 6 OS. Several current ‘Berries will be getting the update too!
Elsewhere in smartphones, Three gave us word of when it would be rolling out its own HTC Desire Froyo update, while iPhone gaming hit Angry Birds is now set to go cross platform, landing on handhelds and even one home console.
