Apple hasn’t really got much of a presence of Twitter (besides a scattering of iTunes Twitter accounts) so it was surprising to see iOS head honcho Scott Forstall has just signed up. His @forstall account is only following one person (US chatshow host and celebrity ginger Conan O’Brien) but he’s already racked up 16,785 followers despite not having penned a single tweet so far.

It’s not clear why Forstall has joined Twitter. Could he be monitoring the public’s reaction to iPhone 4? Or planning future iOS 4 features? While we wait to see what he and Apple might do with their new Twitter outpost, here’s our five favourite tweeting tech execs…

A £2 million fund for the UK computer games industry has been launched by Ed Vaizey, the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, after the coalition government scrapped plans for a 20 per cent tax break for the computer game industry a month ago.

A source close to Three, which has yet to start selling the iPhone 4, has told us that the network will stop selling the iPhone 3GS White from today and has seriously increased its rewards for affiliates pushing the iPhone 3GS Black 8GB. It looks like Three is gearing up to get the iPhone 4 on the shelves and suggests there’s an outside chance that the rare iPhone 4 White might be on its way to the UK…
