The Daily Star has admitted what everyone else already knew: there is no Grand Theft Auto: Rothbury game and Rockstar games was never planning one. The paper published the false GTA Raoul Moat story on July 21 but has subsequently pulled the story from its website. In its apology, the paper admits that it didn’t check that its tale was accurate before phoning grieving relatives about the spoof game cover.

HP is dumping Windows Phone 7 in favour of webOS, HP Personal Systems Group VP Todd Bradley has said. Bradley said HP would not be making any Windows Phone 7 smartphones, and wanted to make a push forward with the $1.2 billion Palm OS, webOS.
