A decision in the US now means that the forthcoming iPhone 4 jailbreak won’t be deemed illegal by the courts there. But Apple still has the provisions of its end user agreement which forbids any attempt to “modify” or reverse engineer iOS which means it could still go after after the iPhone 4 jailbreak creators and iPhone 4 owners who decide to smash open the software. Those who feel comforted by the fact that the Nintendo 3DS has a slider to flatten the screen back to 2D gaming might be interested to know that of all the Nintendo 3DS game demos I tried today, only once did I have the 3D set at less than full whack. I got my sweaty palms on Pilot Wings, Nintendogs and Cats, and the 3D camera, plus a bunch of trailers for games including Resident Evil Revelations and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
