The iPhone 4 has arrived at T-Mobile. From today, the pink-hued network will be offering Apple’s latest on contract.
Until today, T-Mobile customers who wanted to upgrade to Apple’s iPhone 4 have had to resort to buying one at full whack and then making their own Micro-SIM cards by attacking their SIMs using only a craft knife and nerves of steel. That changes as of now - the iPhone 4 is available officially from T-Mobile UK.
As Apple maintains tight control over the price the iPhone 4 handset is going to cost you pretty much what it would on other networks. Each network has a little wiggle room to set its own tariffs, though so lets see what T-Mobile are offering.
T-Mobile has split its iPhone 4 rates into 4 plans costing £30, £35, £45 and £60. £30 will get you 300 minutes and 500MB of data but you need to pay £179 for the 16GB iPhone 4 and £269 for the 32GB model. £35 = 600 mins + 500MB plus £119(16GB) or £219(32GB).
At £45 data gets a bump to 750MB with 1200 minutes of chat and handset prices drop to £29(16GB) and £139(32GB). The only way to get a free (16GB) iPhone 4 is on the £60 per month rate, where you also get ‘unlimited’ calls and 1GB of data to play with. At the top rate, a 32GB iPhone 4 will set you back £49.
Oddly, none of this info seems to be up on the actual T-Mobile site as yet, but you should be able to speak to someone about it if you give them a call or pop in to one of their stores.
