Pure and Marshall have teamed up again to resurrect the Marshall Pure radio. The Pure Evoke 1S Marshall is an updated version of the 2006 radio that goes up to 11. Don’t worry though, despite the Planet Rock partnership, when Maiden gets a bit too much, it’ll still tune in to Smooth FM.
The original version of the rocker’s radio, the Evoke Marshall 1-XT, was released exclusively in the UK almost four years ago, and are currently going on Ebay to Marshall enthusiasts for up to £150.
For those eager to get their hands on the new Pure radio, HMV will be getting it first, online and in-store around early August, whereas other retailers will have the radio in stock from September.
The Pure Evoke 1S Marshall has had a number of updates. The original only had digital radio and didn’t support batteries, whereas the new version of the Evoke 1S Marshall has had FM, iPod input, and battery support. There’s also an add on Marshall-shaped speaker for £34.99, to crank the volume up.
