The Daily Star journalist who reported on the fictitious GTA: Raoul Moat story we scoffed at yesterday has taken to Facebook in order to lash out at his critics. Jerry Lawton (for it is he) wrote on his Facebook page that he was “Baffled by the fury of adult games”. Also, we assume, by more basic things like the non-existence of some games.
Skype announced that it had dropped plans to charge for calls made over 3G connections and updated its iPhone 4 app to better use the Retina display and take advantage of the new multitasking features in iOS 4.
We took a close look at the new Xbox 360 and the epic Nintendo DS RPG Dragon Quest IX. Both are very good indeed.
Elsewhere, new autogenerated magazine Flipboard went into meltdown yesterday as the iPad massive all tried to jump on board. Flipboard has now switched to an invite-only model for the time being while it gets its breath back.
We also looked at how festival goers can use the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G to share snaps and quickly Tweet friends with the latest exploits both on the main stage and around the campfire.
