Facebook boss, Mark Zuckerberg, has reportedly taped a guest spot on The Simpsons. Though the social network supremo hasn’t confirmed that he’ll turning yellow, the timing of the season 22 episode, Loan-A-Lisa, is a perfect PR opportunity. It’s set to air in October just as the Facebook movie, The Social Network hits screens.
We reckon the appearance makes the Facebook supremo the third real life billionaire to feature in The Simpsons but sadly Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (as Steve Mobs) didn’t voice their characters. Read on for spoilers about the Facebook boss’s episode…
According to New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, the Facebook founder will offer advice to Lisa when she decides to invest in Nelson’s (ha ha!) bike company. Since he’s agreed to voice the character himself, we suspect Zuckerberg might get softer treatment than Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
Bill Gates popped up to make a seriously hostile takeover of Homer’s internet company with baseball bat wielding thugs while Apple and Steve Jobs took a battering in an entire episode dedicated to Mapple in 2008. More recently, Apple got a less satirical hat tip in an iPhone couch gag in February this year.
