nokia c6Nokia’s C6, a Symbian powered, touch and slide, 3.2 inch screen budget smartphone went on sale in the UK today, and Vodafone looks to be the first carrier offering the Nokia C6 on PAYG. It’s a bit of a surprise, given that release dates were slated for the end of July, but Nokia appear to be able to ship from today.

NokNok has spotted that while the C6 is listed on the Nokia site as being available on Vodafone PAYG, it’s nowhere to be found on the Vodafone website. The Nokia C6 PAYG price point is £229. It’s also available from Nokia Online, SIM free for £289.

The Nokia C6 is the first touchscreen device in the C series, but doubles up fast typing possibilities by squeezing in a QWERTY keyboard as well. It comes in nlack or white, and has a 5MP camera with LED flash. It’s got wi-fi, an 3.5G speeds too.

So why isn’t the Nokia C6 on the Vodafone site yet? Has Vodafone forgotten – is someone off sick? Or has Nokia slapped something up a little earlier than expected?
