HTC has categorically moved from the chapter of superlatives (Incredible!) to the one on great artists in its big book of product names. More details on the HTC Mondrian and HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 handsets have been dug out from the depths of its website and they reveal a little more of what we can expect from the the pair of Microsoft-loving mobiles.

Some digging through XML files holding profile information on the HTC website has turned up the specs for the HTC Mozart and HTC Mondrian (which is likely to be dubbed the HTC Gold when it hits the UK).

The leaked roadmap from earlier this week suggesting the HTC Gold is set to arrive in November didn’t get into specs but the HTC files suggest both the HTC Mondrian and HTC Mozart will be totally touchscreen affairs with a 480 x 800 display and Microsoft Internet Explorer Mobile 7 on board.

It’s not much to go on but if the HTC Mondrian (aka HTC Gold) sticks to Microsoft’s strict Windows Phone 7 hardware requirements we should also see at least a 5MP camera, GPS and an FM radio on board.

We’ve got our hands on an LG Windows Phone 7 handset prototype but the HTC Windows Phone 7 plans are still a little murky. Are you excited to see what it cooks up or is the HTC Desire-gone-QWERTY promise of the HTC Vision a more exciting future phone?
