Stand up straight! Comb your hair! The Queen has officially entered gadgetdom. Or, at least, she’s dipped a toe into our technological waters by donning her first pair of 3D specs.

The Queen took a peep through polarising lenses at Pinewood Studios in Toronto, Canada. She didn’t seem too impressed, but as the BBC points out in this video, she did bring a touch of bling to proceedings with customised glasses, sporting a regal diamante Q on the side.

It’s not clear which make of 3D TV her Maj was gawping at, or whether her 3D glasses were active or passive (although they look thin enough to be passive versions to us), but she looked rather glum throughout the ordeal.

Maybe her mind was on Prince Philip, and what he was up to while her back was turned, or perhaps it was the striking similarity between most 3D eyewear and cataract glasses that had her down in the mouth. Answers on a postcard in the comments section below the video.
