The HTC Vision Android phone has just leaked out in a series of blurry spyshots (of course), and lo, if it isn’t a HTC Desire with a slide out QWERTY. Are physical keyboards back in style?
We’ve not seen an Android phone from HTC with a slide out QWERTY keyboard since its very first, the T-Mobile G1, almost two years ago. But these shots from a Croatian blog (Eastern European sites have a track record of leaking HTC smartphones) suggest a HTC Vision is on the cards, bringing the board back into vogue, and tying in with a rumoured codename that popped up online in May.
Best of all, unlike many Android phones we’ve seen with keyboards, the HTC Vision doesn’t spear to skimp on the specs. According to Njuskalo, the HTC Vision comes with Andorid 2.1, a 1GHz processor and 3.7-inch screen – specs which exactly match the lovely HTC Desire.

The only difference of course, is that four line keyboard that pops out below the HTC Vision’s screen. We can’t say the keys look brilliantly defined, but we won’t write it off until we see the phone up close.
When might that be? Last time we checked, HTC hasn’t revealed any phones that aren’t already out on sale, so we figure an official announcement of something, like this here HTC Vision, can’t be that far off. Fingers crossed.
