A Demand Five iPhone app and iPad app are on the way, according to a new report. Soon you’ll be able to leave your fingerprints all over an episode of CSI on one of Apple’s devices, and we’ve got everything on what’s known so far right here.
While the native BBC iPlayer iPhone app is stuck limbo, terrestrial rival Five is ploughing ahead with a Demand Five iPhone app, according to New Media Age. Although few details are known, the report says it will work over both Wi-Fi and 3G, and a catch iPad service will join it too.
The Demand Five iPhone app forms part of wider relaunch for Five’s IPTV offering, which is being worked on by agency Methos, the merry band of wizzkids behind the new look, social BBC iPlayer, and the report states that Facebook integration will feature.
We’ve contacted Five’s head of press for more details, and to confirm whether a Demand Five iPhone app will allow for downloading of shows for later viewing, and will update when we get a response.
