Sick of vuvuzela buzz blighting World Cup games? Elgato to the rescue! The TV tuner-makers has just updated its EyeTV software letting Mac owners filter the hum of the South African horns from broadcasts.
A special edition of Elgato’s EyeTV 3.4 software is now available, complete with a new feature called the “Vuvuzela Filter”. Switch it on, and it’ll dampen the buzz of vuvuzela horns.
There’s a demo of the EyeTV vuvuzela filter right here, although our highly tuned ears could still pick up quite a bit of buzzing. Still, props to Elgato for doing its bit… To download the new EyeTV app and give your ears a rest, click here.
