The Samsung Galaxy S has only just arrived and now a deluge of details about its QWERTY-packing compatriot the Samsung Galaxy S Pro have popped up. They’re pretty impressive with a few features packed into the Samsung Galaxy S Pro that might even give iPhone 4 fans pause for thought…
It’s not confirmed but the Samsung Galaxy S Pro seems to be packing the same Super AMOLED screen as the Samsung Galaxy Pro. Android Central’s tipsters report that the resolution is 480×800 and that the touchscreen is seriously responsive. That’s good news for folk seeking a compelling iPhone 4 alternative.
Other iPhone 4-matching features in the Samsung Galaxy S Pro include 512MB of RAM (we heard last week that Apple has boosted iPhone 4 RAM to the same figure) and a 5MP camera with 720p video recording coupled with a VGA front-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy S Pro is also packing a 1GHz A8 processor.
One possible downside with the Samsung Galaxy S Pro is the suggestion that it feels a little plastic but that could simply be because the phone fondled by the tipster was a prototype. Keyboard fans should be happy though with a smooth slider and a firm but responsive keypad packed into the phone.
On the software side, the Samsung Galaxy S Pro is currently rocking Android 2.1 but should be in line for an Android 2.2 Froyo update. It’s also rocking the Samsung TouchWiz 3.0 UI.
Let us know: does the Samsung Galaxy S Pro sound like the QWERTY-packed phone of your dreams? Or has the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro already captured your heart?
