The iTunes 9.2 update hit yesterday and it seems some iPod owners are experiencing a few snags with the new software. After the iTunes 9 iPod syncing issues, last year, once again it looks like the iPod Classic that’s suffering. Read on for info on iTunes 9.2 hitches and to let us know how you’re finding the new version of Apple’s jukebox.
iTunes 9.2 is primarily about preparing for iPhone 4 and iOS 4 but it also promises speedier syncing and improvements to Coverflow. However, in this Apple support forum thread and on Twitter, users are reporting that their iPod Classic is refusing to sync and in some cases that the contents of their device has disappeared.
We’ve also found tales of issues with the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch when trying to sync with iTunes 9.2. Some Apple fans have suggested that the problem is caused either by a clash with the third-party iToner ringtone creation app or a snafu with notes syncing.
The Apple support forums are hardly deluged with complaints about iTunes 9.2 but the reports have made us wonder how many other iPod and iPhone users are struggling. Share your experiences with iTunes 9.2 – good or bad – in the comments.
