Playing Heavy Rain was an unusual experience to start with but the Heavy Rain: Playstation Move video trailer looks seriously intense. A motion-sensitive update for Quantic Dream’s dramatic thriller has been on the cards for some time but we’re seriously stoked to see it in action. Read on to take a peek at the Heavy Rain: Playstation Move video for yourself. Is this the most full-on game ever made?
Starring a scantily-clad Madison Paige, the Heavy Rain: Playstation Move edition video shows a couple playing the game using the new controller to execute everything from opening the fridge to fighting off two knife-wielding assailants. The players look positively shaken after the experience and we’re not surprised.
Our Heavy Rain review gave the game serious props as “the future of storytelling” and it looks like throwing the Playstation Move into the mix will make for an interesting challenge. How long will it take to master all those gestures?
Adding motion sensitive gameplay to Heavy Rain isn’t just an after thought, Quantic Dream planned Playstation Move support from early on in the game’s development and even toyed with a dedicated Heavy Rain motion controller.
If you’ve already bought Heavy Rain, Playstation Move support will be added as a patch in October with a brand new Heavy Rain: Playstation Move edition hitting the shelves at the same time.
Let us know: what do you make of the Heavy Rain: Playstation Move video trailer? Does the idea of totally taking control of the characters appeal to you or do you open doors and root around in the fridge quite enough in real life?
