Microsoft said yesterday that the new Xbox 360 slim was shipping right now, and would be on shop shelves this week. We’ve got some bad news though: that’s not the case in the UK and Europe, where we’ll be waiting another month for the privilege of an Xbox with Wi-Fi actually built in. Read on for the exact date it hits, and price.
We’ve just confirmed with Microsoft that the 250GB Xbox 360 slim unveiled at E3 yesterday won’t be going on sale in the UK or across the channel until 16 July, for £199.
Xbox 360 slim: Worth the wait?
An Xbox spokesperson didn’t give a reason for the delay, but it’s disappointing news for anyone here hoping to get their hands on an Xbox 360 slim. Microsoft’s Don Matrick made no mention of a staggered release date in the Xbox 360 keynote, despite the fact that it was being broadcast live on the internet across the world.
