UPDATE: And the vagueness begins again. We’ve just had confirmation from Sony that while that launch date stands for the US, it will be sometime in November for the UK. Could be sooner, but let’s be honest, it’s probably going to be later. This is Gran Turismo 5 we’re talking about here people!
Gran Turismo 5 gets a release date. Ha! We never thought we’d get to say that, but here we are. The game’s development cycle was fast becoming as much of a joke as Duke Nukem Forever was until it was put out of its misery, but luckily, Sony swears blind it’s coming out for real this time. Read on to find out when.
At Sony’s E3 keynote in LA today, it was revealed that Gran Turismo 5 will be coming out on 2 November, and will support 3D for anyone with a stereoscopic TV by then, as the 3D PS3 firmware upgrade has already been pushed out.
Gran Turismo 5 has been shown off at almost every E3 since 2006, so while a firm launch date is good news, frankly, it’s about time. Will it have been worth the wait? We’ll soon see. Hopefully. In the meantime, check out the latest trailer below.
