The Microsoft Kinect games unveiled in the early hours of the morning (when all right thinking folk were still getting some shuteye) were mainly casual gaming fare but there was that Star Wars game to whet the appetite of more hardcore gamers. And now we’ve got our first glimpse of the lightsaber swinging action in a Star Wars Microsoft Kinect video…
In the all-too-brief Star Wars video snippet above you can see a player teeing up to battle Darth Vader. There’s no other details on the game yet and while we can’t wait to try it out, the clip is a little troubling. There’s a hint of that Natal delay that we heard had been banished but the video is most likely a simulation.
Still, the prospect of using Microsoft Kinect to fulfil our childhood dreams of being a Jedi is just too good to allow us to be cynical. Hopefully, Microsoft will use the Force to get the final game right.
Let us know: what do you make of the Star Wars Microsoft Kinect game? Will it go down a storm(trooper) or do you think it’ll be embarrassing and best played (Han) solo?
Expect more news on the Kinect and, hopefully, the Xbox 360 Slim from the Microsoft E3 keynote imminently…
