The Nokia N8 smartphone isn’t expected out until sometime in the next quarter, but it’s just been shown off to press once again – and this time, with Symbian 3 up and running.
We’ve fondled the metal Nokia N8 beauty before, but Nokia’s now feeling brave enough to show the new Symbian 3 in operation on it outside of the confines of its Espoo headquarters.
The 12 megapixel phone’s operating system hasn’t changed perhaps as much as we’d like visually compared to rusty old Symbian S60 (If you don’t like Nokia’s fonts and widget infused homescreen methodology, it looks like you’re out of luck with the Nokia N8), but NokNok reports that it’s certainly nippy, which we can’t say about S60 on touchscreen phones right now.
Of course, we’re hopeful Nokia can tweak things even more before the Nokia N8′s release (rumoured to be in August), and with the iPhone 4 out this month, it needs to be in tip top shape to keep up with the competition.
