So the iPhone 4 is coming to all the major UK networks. This morning’s announcement from Three means they’ll be joining Orange, O2, Vodafone and T-Mobile in offering Apple’s new smartphone, giving UK consumers a wide choice in network. So which will you turn to for your iPhone 4? We’ve set up a poll so you can let us know.

If the iPhone 4 situation pans out like the iPhone 3GS, prices will be broadly similar across all the networks. In other words, we reckon it’s pretty unlikely that any single network will offer an eye-poppingly cheap iPhone 4 deal. So you’ll probably have to pick between them using non-financial factors – have you had a good history with one network and want to keep using them? Or is it time to switch to a new provider?

We should mention at this point that the mobile virtual network operators like Tesco and Virgin Mobile have made no comment on the iPhone 4, so it’s still possible that they could be offering it as well. We’ve been in touch with both for comment: Tesco replied that it had no information to give out at the moment, while Virgin Media indicated that it was “in talks” with Apple but wouldn’t confirm anything either way.

So which is your network of choice for the iPhone 4? Orange, O2, Vodafone, Three or T-Mobile? Head over to our poll and make your voice heard – and leave a comment below if you want to explain your reasons.

I've been with o2 for a 5 years now, but their network just seems to have got worse over time. I think its time for a change! Think I might jump over to Vodafone..

    • bensillis

      Why Vodafone in particular?

  • Paul

I will go with the network who gives the best price. Lets see who wins…

  • Zed

with all the operators giving this at the same price does this not constitute price fixing? if it is apple, o2, tmob etc. this isn't just an iphone thing (although it is the worst from what I can tell) as same phone x-network is always same pricing. maybe the odd £5 but you get it. so where is the legal viewpoint?

    • bensillis

Well, I think you'll find it's Apple dictating terms to all the networks – I think they'd all love to find a way to undercut each other with a cheap iPhone.

  • Pacomac100

o2 no longer provides unlimited data and we have to buy out our existing contract so where is the incentive to stay with o2?

    • bensillis

I'm not sure – but then at the same time the chances of you getting a better deal on a rival network seem low given how 3GS pricing panned out.

  • F1uffster

I voted T-mobile as I get really good coverage where I live. As I am currently not tied into a contract, I'd probably just buy the handset upfront and continue my current price plan.
Saying that though, the right price could make me jump networks in a heartbeat!! My loyalties lie in my pocket, not with a specific provider!!
