Looks like we’ll soon be seeing a Nokia N9 MeeGo smartphone, as well an entirely new Nokia S series range. The Finnish firm has released some sort of document detailing its products and their place in the line-up by turning them into a house (bear with us here), and the Nokia N9 is the apex of the roof. The S series, meanwhile, is the chimney. So what does that mean?

Well, the Nokia N9 is likely to be the first phone to rock Nokia’s MeeGo operating system. Its name suggests it’s probably a followup to the Maemo-equipped N900 smartphone/tablet, so it’ll likely be a high spec, feature-packed all rounder with excellent connectivity and social media features.

And the Nokia S series? That’s a little harder to figure out, as unlike the rest of the leaked document’s “house”, there is just “S” – no specific model name is mentioned. However, the document (in French), describes the S series as “reserved for a limited number of mobiles that do not fit into any other category.” Intriguing stuff.

A number of other new Nokia handsets are named in the document: the Nokia E7 (a business phone); the mainstream Nokia C7; and the Nokia X7, focussed on social interaction. We’ll bring you more on these as we get it.
