It’s early days for the iPhone 4. Apple’s fourth generation smartphone has only been out of the bag for a couple of days, and isn’t out to buy until later in the month – but already a veritable shedload of accessories, both from Apple and from third party manufacturers, have sped out of the gates. Apple has turned out a nice line of coloured plastic and rubber bands for the iPhone 4. These Bumpers wrap around the edge of the handset to give you a little bit of extra protection, whilst leaving all buttons exposed. No UK pricing has been revealed yet, but they’ll be $29 (£20) apiece in the US.
iPhone 4 dock

Another official Apple accessory, this dock allows you to charge and sync your iPhone 4 whilst keeping it propped up on your desk. There’s also space to hook up a video out cable for watching iPhone 4 content on a larger screen. Again, no UK price so far, but it’ll be $29 (£20) Stateside.
Belkin ProFit case

Sweaty active types who enjoy strenuous physical movement will love this armband from accessory mavens Belkin. The ProFit keeps your iPhone 4 securely strapped to your arm while you’re pounding the pavement, but leaves the touchscreen exposed for prodding where necessary. It’s made of a “moisture-wicking” material to keep your arm dry whilst in use, and can be washed after use. It’s been priced at $39.99 in the US – about £27 at current exchange rates.

Providing a little more protection that Apple’s Bumpers, the iCC736 Nature case encloses the body of the iPhone 4 in a soft-coated, ultra thin hard case emblazoned with some lovely plant graphics. There’s also a stick-on cover to protect the screen from scratches. Priced at $29.99 (£20) in the US.
iLuv Fusion case

The Fusion “fuses” two different materials, silicone and polycarbonate, into a single dual layer case that looks tough enough to help your iPhone 4 survive all but the worst of disasters. There’s an anti-scratch screen coating too, plus a flip out desk stand – handy for watching video. $34.99 (£24) is the US price tag.
