iOS 4: say it loud, and start getting used to it. That’s the new name for iPhone OS 4, just revealed at Steve Jobs’ WWDC keynote in San Francisco. Could that be to pave the way for an iPhone OS powered Apple TV?
Steve Jobs didn’t reveal any major new features we weren’t already aware of in iPhone OS , or iOS 4, but it’s a clear attempt to rebrand the multitasking software. Could this be as iPhone OS branches out into other devices: the iPad already of course, but rumours suggest a new Apple TV will run it to. iOS 4 would make much more sense as a name, rather than calling a set top box a phone.
