The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini has been a long time coming. We first saw the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10’s slimmed down sibling at Mobile World Congress back in the cold old days of February. Finally, Mobiles.co.uk has tipped us the wink that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is now shipping. Thinking of grabbing the dinky Android dazzler? Read on for details…

With its 2.55in capacitive touchscreen, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is an extremely compact little package but still manages to cram some hefty specs into that slight shell: there’s Wi-Fi, GPS (and A-GPS), a 5MP camera with LED flash as well as carefully miniaturised versions of the Timescape and Mediascape features found in its bigger brother.

Check our Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini preview for first impressions of the phone in action and peer at its petite frame in our Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 photos. If the lack of a keyboard puts your off, the QWERTY-packing Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro is also on the way but doesn’t have a release date yet.

We knew the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini was headed for Vodafone but you can also grab it on O2, Orange and T-Mobile too. It’s available for free from £15 a month on a 24 month contract but it pays to shop around as the text, calls and data packages we’ve seen vary wildly.

Let us know: do the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini’s eminently pocketable proportions appeal to you? Or do you need something a little more substantial?
