Pioneer’s SE-CL23 and SE-CL24 headphones have just popped their little heads over the parapet, giving a come hither look to any fashion conscious soul looking to replace their iPod buds with something a bit, well, better.

The Pioneer SE-CL23 headphones have what Pioneer calls a “cherry style”, in that they, er, look a bit like cherries. They come in dark (one could almost say cherry) red and white colour finishes.

The Pioneer SE-CL24 headphones ramp things up a notch: these are available in black or dark brown leather finishes, evoking the atmosphere of an exclusive gentlemen’s club. Or something.

Both the SE-CL23 and SE-CL24 offer the same tech: gold-plated connectors, 1.2m cables, 9mm drivers, a playback frequency of 20Hz to 20kHz and an impedence of 16 ohms. Each pair of headphones comes with three different sets of earbuds, made to suit small, medium and large lugholes.
