The Nokia N8 has been pegged with a release date of Q3 2010 for a while. But now there are whispers about the actual date when the Symbian ^3 smartie will be winging its way to Europe. Read on to find how long you’ll have to wait and ponder whether you’ll be able to hold out with iPhone 4.0 due imminently…
With the new Symbian ^3 OS and a 12MP camera that’ll grab 720p HD footage, the Nokia N8 could make a serious stir when it finally arrives and we may have just a few short months to wait. Engadget says a trusted source has told it that the Nokia N8 will launch on August 24.
When we grabbed our Nokia N8 photos earlier this month, Nokia design supremo Marko Ahtisaari kept the phone turned off as the Symbian ^3 OS was unfinished. After originally being set to arrive in July, Nokia announced that the Symbian ^3 OS would be delayed until later in the year. If it’s now planning on getting the phone out by August, it will have seriously caught up.
Nokia hasn’t confirmed the rumoured release date but we know that SIM-free pricing for the Symbian ^3 OS stunner will cost around €370 when it finally drops.
