Natal price listings have emerged on Swedish websites and it doesn’t look like good news. We’d previously been led to believe that the Microsoft motion control tech would be cheap but the Krona to Pound conversion predicts a much pricier Natal

Swedish retailers are listing Natal for 1,499 SEK which translates to about £133. That’s almost three times as much as the Natal price rumoured late last year. Back then we were promised it would cost no more than £50.

Scandinavia is more expensive than the UK but the difference in price isn’t that huge. For instance, Alan Wake will set you back 599 SEK (around £53) in Sweden while you can snap it up for about £39 here. If the Swedish Natal prices turn out to be right, we’ll pay at least £100 for the peripheral.

But there’s every chance that the Natal price listings are simply placeholders. While Game in Sweden has slapped up a price, the UK site still states that “no pricing has been announced”.

A Microsoft exec confirmed an October Natal UK release date last week and there’s a massive Natal launch event at E3 next month so we shouldn’t have long to wait for a confirmed price.

How much would you be willing to pay for Natal? Would an Xbox 360 Slim Natal bundle sweeten the deal?

I think £99 would be my upper limit. Thats coming from someone quite excited about this tech :/

Ditto. Go beyond that, and you’re fast approaching the cost of an Xbox 360 itself!
