The Samsung Galaxy S was headed to the UK, that much we knew, but now the monster Android phone’s been nabbed by Vodafone and slapped up on its website. The Samsung Galaxy S was one of two monster Android 2.1 phones unveiled at the CTIA conference in Las Vegas in March (The other being the US only HTC Evo 4G), and it’s shaping up to be absolutely spectacular. The Samsung Galaxy S squeezes a 1GHz processor inside, a five megapixel camera, and a 4-inch Super AMOLED display for rich colours, even outdoors.
Sounds good, no? The Samsung Galaxy S model with 16GB storage is now up on Vodafone’s site, and you can register for updates, so you’ll be able to place your pre-order as soon as they go live.
Samsung Galaxy S Pro spotted online?
Prices are still to be announced, but despite Vodafone’s exclusivity claims, you should be able to rustle up a SIM-free Samsung Galaxy S if you’re desperate to stay on your current tariff too: Expansys is listing an 8GB model for pre-order, but it will set you back a full £499.99. Ouch.
Wherever you plan to buy a Samsung Galaxy S from, watch out for our full review coming soon, where we’ll be putting everything from that super screen to its brand new media streaming skills to the test.
