Xbox 360 gaming is on the way but only in South Korea to start with. A press release unearthed on Flickr reveals that Microsoft has done a deal to market Xbox 360 3D games along with LG 3D TVs in Asia. With E3 just around the corner, could Xbox 360 3D gaming join Natal on the agenda?

Nestled quietly in LG’s Flickr photos is the above snap of two executives in their 3D glasses enjoying Xbox 360 3D gaming on an LG LED TV. The translated press release reveals the Microsoft and LG have entered into a memorandum of understanding to jointly market LG 3D TV and Xbox 360 3D games.

There’s no word of new Xbox 360 3D hardware which suggests that we might, just might, be seeing Xbox 360 3D gaming on the cards without needing to shell out for a brand new system. Free PS3 3D firmware upgrades have already arrived. Maybe Microsoft has a similar software solution to offer Xbox 360 3D gaming.

While Microsoft has done a deal with LG in South Korea we’d be very surprised if other 3D TVs like the Samsung 3D TV which went on sale in the UK recently aren’t able to get in on the act too. We’d expect to see more news on Xbox 360 3D gaming along with the much-anticipated Natal news at E3.

Do you want the Xbox 360 to go 3D? Or does 3D gaming leave you cold? Let us know.

    360? I am ps3 user and I do not believe 360 better from PS3.

Firstly, Moda, f*** off you useless p**** unless you have something interesting to say. I’m sick of d*** head fangirls ruining every console related post on the web with your nonsense bull shit about what’s better!
Secondly, really looking forward to being able to try 3D + gaming. I work in a tv shop and we’ve just got our Samsung C7000 in today. Gonna try n hook up the PS3 and see if there’s any 3D game demos on the psn. Until then, I won’t know what’s better in respect to 3D gaming. I can only imagine a game like Burnout would be at an advantage with extra added depth – that game’s rushy enough as it is! Also, I can’t see why Xbox360 couldn’t output 3D with just a firmware upgrade – if it’s capable of outputting 60fps (which it is), it should have no problems displaying a game in the side-by-side format. I’m guessing the processing power to split and render the two 3D images could be the only issue they’re having? Anyone know any more?

There aren’t any 3D PS3 games available yet, but they should be available soon (next month I believe Sony is aiming for) – they do look good, I have to say, unlike 3D movies.
