LittleBigPlanet 2 has broken cover with a LittleBigPlanet 2 video trailer revealing a whole lot more features. This time Sackboy will be free to star in more than just platform games and you’ll be able to add AI characters. Read on for the first details on LittleBigPlanet 2

LittleBigPlanet 2 includes a brand new game-making engine which explains why Media Molecule feels justified in making a sequel to a LittleBigPlanet, a game that already had lots of free content floating around the web.

There’s already 2m LittleBigPlanet levels uploaded to the Playstation Network which will be compatible with the new game. However, LittleBigPlanet 2 will increase the possibilities for level creation. The LittleBigPlanet 2 video shows top-down racing games and a Space Invaders-esque shooter.

LittleBigPlanet 2 also opens up the environment so you’ll be able to control objects other than Sackboy and place Sackbots, AI characters with movements you can record or define, into levels.

Playstation Move integration is also strongly rumoured to be headed for LittleBigPlanet 2. We can expect to hear more details about LittleBigPlanet 2 at E3 next month.

Due Winter 2010 | £TBC | Sony

Absolutely love that trailer. The game seems to be possibly endless. & as for the soundtrack, Passion Pit – Sleepyhead, I just downloaded the EP, Chunk of Change! Look forward to it
