Alan Wake is even out until Friday but the developers at Remedy are already teasing the next installment of the mystery. We knew already knew they’re hard at work on the first batch of Alan Wake DLC but it seems the full second episode has been plotted out too…

Remedy’s Oskari Hakkinen said Alan Wake 2 has been planned out. He says: “We do know where season two is going to go. Season one will have a conclusive and satisfactory ending but we will leave doors open for season two and we know where we’re going to take the story.”

Sam Lake, one of the writers of Alan Wake, previously confessed that they had not worked out how a definitive Alan Wake ending. It’s fairly likely that Alan Wake 2 isn’t the last part of the saga.

And given that we first heard about Alan Wake in 2005, we’ll reserve judgment on Remedy’s forward planning with Alan Wake 2 until we actually see it.

I’ve been playing it all weekend. It’s very good, but Wake himself is a bit of a drip. Not sure I could stand another weekend in his company, so maybe releasing the DLC / sequels slowly is a good thing.
