PS3 3D upgrades dated for UK

UPDATE: Sony has confirmed to us that the PS3 3D upgrades will be free.

The Sony PS3 3D upgrades, bringing extra dimensional gaming and Blu-ray to the console, have been pencilled in by Sony UK. If you’ve got a 3D TV, you’ll be able to try out gaming with 3D goggles first, and if you buy the right one, you might even get some free games to try!

The Sony Bravia HX803, the first Sony 3D TV to hit the UK, has been given a launch date, with word of more 3D goodies to come soon after. It won’t beat LG‘s first batch of extra dimensional boobtubes to stores, but if you hurry, you just might be able to snatch one up in time for the World Cup. If only Sony was showing it on 3D TV here in the UK, eh?

The iPad Flash battle really doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon. Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen took to the Fox Business channel to declare that Apple’s decision to deny iPad Flash support “hurts customers”.
