Google received more requests for data from the UK government than any other in Europe. UK  agencies made 1166 requests between July and December 2009 according to a new Google Government Requests Tool. The launch of the tool comes just after international privacy commissioners sent an open letter to Google boss Eric Schmidt and EU concerns around Google Streetview.
